1. What is Kollel Avreichim Arizona?
Kollel Avreichim Arizona is a full-time learning institution dedicated to advanced Torah study and community impact. It serves as a spiritual engine for the greater Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Bell Road areas, with avreichim who devote themselves daily to immersive learning.

2. Who is the Rosh Kollel

Rabbi Aharon Stauber - Currently leads a vibrant chabura of 50 yungerleit in BMG and the author of two seforim in halacha: Kuntres Tefilas Haderech and Shtorei Hedyotos Beshabbos. As the son-in-law of Rav Moshe Francis, Rosh Kollel of Kollel Zichron Shneur in Chicago, he represents a distinguished mesorah of harbatzas Torah and community leadership.

3. Who are the avreichim (yungeleit) learning in the Kollel?
We are currently recruiting avreichim that are passionate, committed talmidei chachamim—with years of learning in major yeshivos—who have chosen to continue their growth in Torah while actively contributing to the spiritual strength of our community.

4. Where is the Kollel located?
The Kollel will be housed in the Phoenix Jewish Community Center. 

5. What is the daily learning schedule?
The Kollel runs a full morning and afternoon seder, with additional night sedarim and community learning sessions that vary by week.

6. Is the Kollel open to the public for learning or shiurim?
Yes! The kollel exists to serve the broader community. Shiurim, chavrusa opportunities, and learning programs for men and boys will be offered regularly. All are welcome to join and connect. If you are interested in learning please email info@AZkollel.com

💬 Community Involvement

 

7. How can I get involved with the Kollel?
You can get involved by attending learning programs, becoming a donor, joining our events, or simply visiting the Beis Medrash. There are roles for men, teens, and families to engage in different ways.

8. Is the Kollel connected to any shul or school?
While the Kollel collaborates with all shuls and schools in the area, it operates independently with its own leadership and mission. We view ourselves as an additional Torah presence that is available across the broader community.

9. What does it mean to be a Builder
Builders are supporters of the Kollel. Builders contribute monthly or annually as part of our 100% community support goal. Learn more about being a Builder here.

10. Can my children or teens benefit from the Kollel’s learning?
Yes. The beis Medrish is open to teen learning, and we’re continuously expanding opportunities. The Kollel’s presence is a supportive addition to the wealth of Torah exposure the community has to offer to the next generation.

💵 Donations & Financial Transparency

 

11. Where does my donation go?
Donations go directly to support our avreichim and the operating costs of the Kollel—covering stipends, seforim, programming, and facility needs. We operate with a lean model to ensure maximum impact.

12. How is the kollel funded?
The Kollel is funded 100% through community support—monthly and annual gifts from individuals and families who believe in the mission of Torah growth in the valley.

13. Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Kollel Avreichim Arizona is a registered non-profit. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

14. Will I receive a receipt or confirmation of my donation?
Yes. All donors receive an email confirmation and end-of-year tax receipt. Recurring donors also receive periodic updates and acknowledgments.

15. Can I set up recurring donations or pay by check or ACH?
Yes. Recurring donations can be set up via credit card, ACH, or check. For large gifts or custom arrangements, please reach out  to info@AZKollel.com and we’ll be happy to assist.

🔍 Accountability and Oversight

 

16. Who oversees the Kollel’s financial and operational management?
The Kollel is managed by a trusted leadership team with oversight from a dedicated board. Financial processes will be reviewed regularly to ensure responsible stewardship of all funds.

17. Is there Rabbinic oversight?
Yes. The Kollel follows the guidance of Harav Malkiel Kotler Shlita and Harav Tzvi Berkowitz Shlita with input from local Rabbonim.

18. Are there reports or updates shared with donors or the public?
We share periodic updates, newsletters, and annual recaps with our donors and supporters. We believe in transparent communication and welcome any questions about how funds are used.

19. What steps are taken to ensure financial responsibility and transparency?
We maintain clear budgeting and board-level oversight. Our leadership is committed to operating with integrity, transparency, and accountability.
